Explore with Purpose 🌊🐋
Aguacea organizes science-based monitoring tours that contribute to local cetacean research. We prioritize respectful wildlife encounters, ensuring animal well-being while offering immersive and educational experiences.
Collaborating closely with local communities, we provide authentic adventures, including desert explorations and cultural experiences.
Join us for a meaningful journey that blends discovery, conservation, and connection with nature. 🌿✨
The plan is around 6 hour trip at sea, depending on the weather and the animals we encounter, collecting useful data for ongoing cetacean studies (GPS, photo ID, acoustics, drone-based morphometrics and more if possible). We will be looking for any type of dolphins & whales !
We are helping a Mexican Dr biologist from MMAPE (Megafauna Marina y Pesquerias) that has been studying them for more than 20 years. The data collected will be used, among other things, to create catalogues for identifying resident individuals of the gulf of California, studying their ecology and behavior, and gaining a deeper understanding of the human and climate impacts on them.
Anyone who wants to and is eager to learn can participate. No prior knowledge is necessary.
