Join Grom and Rachel at Baja Joe’s for a night of BINGO for a cause! This month we are featuring Vicente Guerrero Primary School.

The largest primary school in El Sargento/La Ventana, serving 154 children, currently has unsafe and non-functioning bathrooms—and that’s a serious problem.

Because local schools do not receive government funding, parents are responsible for paying or fundraising to cover essential needs.

We want to support them, and what better way than by playing BINGO, winning prizes, and knowing that your contribution is helping local children enjoy a safer, healthier learning environment!

Estimada comunidad de El Sargento y su Anexo La Ventana:

Presentes La Escuela Primaria Vicente Guerrero solicita a usted su valiosa colaboración y apoyo en la recaudación de fondos económicos para la rehabilitación de uno de los módulos de baños de nuestra querida institución, ya que está en muy malas condiciones la loza y el emplaste, lo cual pone en riesgo a nuestro alumnado, es una obra costosa, desafortunadamente no contamos con ningun apoyo económico por parte de las autoridades correspondientes, ni ingreso de dinero a la escuela por la venta de alimentos y bebidas al interior de la misma, solo contamos con el ingreso de la aportación voluntaria de los padres y lo que se recauda en la actividades planeadas y dirigidas por la Asociación de Padres de Familia. Es importante mencionar que su apoyo y aportación serán muy útiles para la institución ya que además de la reparación ya mencionada, el dinero se destinará a mantenimiento en general y compra de material de limpieza. Somos la institución educativa más grande de la comunidad, atendiendo a 154 alumnos. Sin más por el momento, la comunidad escolar le envia un cordial saludo y seguros de obtener una respuesta positiva, agradecemos de antemano, tan valiosa colaboración.

Dear community of El Sargento and its annex, La Ventana:

Vicente Guerrero Elementary School respectfully requests your valuable collaboration and support in raising funds to rehabilitate one of our restroom modules. The condition of the ceiling and plaster is currently very poor and poses a safety risk to our students. This is an expensive project, and unfortunately, we do not receive any financial support from the corresponding authorities, nor do we have income from selling food or beverages on campus. Our only sources of funds are voluntary contributions from parents and what we are able to raise through activities organized by the Parent Association.

It is important to mention that your support and contributions will be extremely helpful to the school. In addition to the necessary restroom repairs, the funds will be used for general maintenance and the purchase of cleaning supplies.

We are the largest educational institution in the community, serving 154 students.
