Round 2 of Blues at Baja Joe’s is happening this Monday, Jan 5th, and the talent on stage is absolutely staggering.
🎶 El Sargento Blues All-Stars bring together over 200+ years of blues & rock ’n roll experience:
🥁 Willie Ornelas (drums) — Studio drummer for 50+ years, having played with legends like Sonny & Cher, Edgar Winter, Flaco Jiménez, and countless others. He’s also the promoter/producer of the Baja Blues Fest (benefiting No Más Basura) happening in early March.
🎸 Tim Scott (bass) — Local favorite who spent 15 years with Jack Mack & The Heart Attack, plus time with Tower of Power and many more major acts.
🎹 King Louis Pain (Hammond organ) — Flying in from Portland, Oregon. Former member of the Paul Delay Blues Band, Lloyd Jones Band, and Mel Brown B-3 Organ Group.
🎸 Emiliano Juárez (guitar) — Hailing from Mexico City, the youngest of the crew but a powerhouse blues guitarist who absolutely delivers.
🎺 Terry Townson (trumpet) — Spent 10 years with Delbert McClinton and years with Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown—and just happened to have the night off and sit in!
