Baja Birding Club Outing – Sierra Laguna Biosphere

The Fourth Baja Birding Club Outing: We will be driving to the Sierra Laguna Biosphere between San Antonio and San Bartolo. This unusual habitat never fails to yield some interesting birds, including acorn woodpeckers, endemic San Lucas robins and Xantu’s hummingbirds (last time we found an active nest!), and several warbler species not often seen in La Ventana. After our birding excursion, those of you who are ice cream fans can join me in a visit to an ice cream parlour in San Bartolo which makes arguably the best ice cream anywhere on the peninsula and perhaps beyond! We will meet at the Marlin Azul restaurant at 0730 am, Saturday, February 11. No need to inform me that you are coming, just show up.
